We first met Josh by pure coincidence on his birthday a few years back. He was walking out of a restaurant with his friend and exchanged a few words with us… He waved bye to his friend, pulled up a chair and said, “yea… I'm gonna hang out with these guys for a while.”
“A while” was until 4am.
It was love at first sight…. Or maybe love at first kiss (Josh did kiss me on the lips that night ). Dillon says Josh is the only man that’s allowed to kiss me!
Josh brought it up and laughed about it literally every time we hung out with him.
We had amazing, fun experiences with Josh. His philosophical witty comments always left us pondering and laughing for hours.
Josh was the most “real” person we ever met. He never bullshitted around a question or a comment… he always spoke his mind.
The greatest lesson that Josh has taught me was on the day his father passed. He said, “…if you want to spend time with anyone, do it. Make it happen. They may not be here tomorrow. One thing you don’t want to say to yourself is, “I wish I spent more time with them”.”
My friend Josh is not gone. He is with me every day. I cherish all of our experiences and they will live on forever.
